Domestic Violence Shelter Minnesota

This is my story of how I am dealing with and healing from the effects of domestic violence. I have used poetry and sketches to express my anger and also to reflect on sensations and feelings I experienced while I lived at the shelter or safe house or what I personally referred to as "The House of Pain and Healing.

While there is a growing body of research on the children of battered women, there remains little practical information on the subject of intervention with these at-risk children.
