 Pretend No More: My Healing Process from Domestic Violence This is my story of how I am dealing with and healing from the effects of domestic violence. I have used poetry and sketches to express my anger and also to reflect on sensations and feelings I experienced while I lived at the shelter or safe house or what I personally referred to as "The House of Pain and Healing.
